A rare and complex blend developed by our Cellar Master from a selection of the oldest eaux-de-vie of the Château Royal de Cognac. This prestigious Cognac is presented in a mouth-blown crystal decanter inspired in part by the finery of François I. This true jewel is protected by a robust handmade case covered with silk, leather, gold leaf and lacquered wood.
The stopper of the bottle is hand-cut from a single block of crystal, symbolizing the royal crown worn by Francis I.
Inside the drawer of the case, you will discover a small booklet that will plunge you into the origins of this Cuvée n°3 of the King's Collection.
Bouquet: the powerful and generous mouth reveals dominant perfumes of plum blossom and nutty notes. Sweet spices, in particular nutmeg, magnify the whole composition. A sweet hint of candied orange mingles with the nobility of a powerful oak fragrance in the finish.
Palate: delicate notes of prune are harmoniously combined with a subtle touch of "rancio "*. A sweet candied fruit flavor lingers on the taste buds, while a pinch of spice caresses the palate.
(*) This word describes the complex profiles of very exceptional old cognacs. The tasting notes range from peaks of vanilla oak, floral, spicy, hazelnut, black cocoa and saffron to cigar tobacco leaf, sandalwood and black truffle.
